And you decide the outcome!

Based on the most popular computer game of adventure/fantasy.

#1 THE FORCES OF KRILL

Krill's wizardry is great—and totally evil. Unless you can find three magical spheres of power, and deliver them and the Sword of Zork to Syovar, the rightful ruler of the peaceful land, the entire population will be enslaved—forever!

Inside Blurb[]

Welcome to the Kingdom of Zork!
You are bored. There's nothing on TV except stupid reruns. You wander into your local bookstore and pick up an interesting-looking book entitled "Zork: The Forces of Krill." As usual, you turn to the first page and begin reading.

The book is set in the magical land of Zork, where the evil and powerful warlock Krill is about to conquer the kingdom, and only YOU can save the day! There are trolls, gnomes, lizard warriors, sorcerers, and a giant empire to explore. It looks like this book is good!

  • Do you choose to save the Kingdom? If so, purchase the book and turn to page 5.
  • Or do you choose to go home and watch reruns? Turn to the next page.

Next Page[]

In fron of the TV, your eyelids slowly close. A strange sound fills the room. Suddenly your eyes open; you realize that you have been snoring.

You can't get that Zork book out of your mind, but the book store is already closed.

Think again! Wouldn't it be wise to purchase the book now, and turn to page 7?

And watch for these WHAT-DO-I-DO-Now Books available from Tor:

Vindictus, the Patron of Decision Novels[]

The is an ending you can reach through cheating. You end up on page 124, where Vindictus, the Patron of Decision Novels calls you out, gives you a score of negative fifty million billion zillion points, and says there are no Magic Sneakers and no Prince of Kaldorn in this book.

The Magic Sneakers and the Prince of Kaldorn do appear in next book, The Malifestro Quest.
