Spicy Peppers[]
Upon consuming one of these peppers, the character must roll a Fortitude save DC 14 or vomit and become nauseated for 1d4+1 rounds from the extreme spicy flavor. Add +2 circumstance bonus to the DC for every additional pepper the character tries to eat at the same time.
A character who is being swallowed whole may attempt to use the peppers to cause his eater to regurgitate him. Dumping the peppers into the great creature's mouth, unfortunately, replaces the allowed action to prevent yourself from being swallowed.
Whole peppers in a stomach won’t do much, but ground pepper or peppers in the mouth has an effect.
Nauseated characters are unable to attack, cast or concentrate on spells, or anything else requiring attention. The only action such a character can take is a move or move-equivalent action each round.
Spicy peppers cost 1 gp a piece. They are typically purchased in strings of dried peppers, sold fresh in mesh pouches of 20 or as ground pepper in small jars.
