Shadow Demon is an evil character in the 1983 Dungeons & Dragons cartoon series.
About[]
Shadow Demon is Venger's majordomo. He is Venger's spy and reports to him on the heroes progress. He speaks with the obsequious voice of a man, and looks like a bat-winged silhouette with the waist tapering off into a wispy tail instead of legs. The Shadow Demon is normally intangible, but can became solid.
Shadow Demon is interesting not just became he is a flying shadow with wings, but also because of how loyal he is. He doesn't try to overthrow Venger, he rarely (if ever) makes a mistake that interferes with Venger's plan. He's just helpful, mostly as a plot device so Venger has someone to monologue his plans to or has a spy to know what the kids are up to.
Notes[]
- In the cartoon, Shadow Demon is a single character that appears repeatedly. He is obviously the same character every time.
- But when Super7 made an action figure of Shadow Demon, they made a two-pack of shadow demons, and in a t-shirt design they released, there are two shadow demons pictured. Theoretically misunderstanding the character. But, in the case of the figures, it is most likely that having two of the less articulated shadow demons makes the price of point of the figure more attractive. It's not like there's a lot of possible accessories to go with the Shadow Demon character.
