1. See Damage Increases by Size to calculate the damage for a weapon larger than Medium or smaller than Small.
2. Weight figures are for Medium weapons. A Small weapon weighs half as much, and a Large weapon weighs twice as much.
3. When two types are given, the weapon is both types if the entry specifies "and", either type (player's choice at time of attack) if the entry specifies "or", or each end of the double weapon is a different type if the entry specifies "/".
4. The hp value given is for Medium armor, weapons, and shields. Divide by 2 for each size category of the item smaller than Medium, or multiply it by 2 for each size category larger than Medium.

The Scattergun is a devastating two-handed weapon to use against multiple enemies at medium distance. Using the Scattergun against an enemy deals Dmg(M), subtracting 1d6 damage per shot. Additionally, all enemies withing 10ft. of original target enemy takes Dmg(S) subtracting 1d4 damage. The penalty for additional range increments is -4 per increment. On critical fail, user of the Scattergun takes 2d4 damage from the backfire. The weapon takes a full round to reload, but immediately after reloading, as part of the same full round action, the weapon may be fired again. If the weapon is Masterwork, it incurs no damage reduction at each shot and can additionally fire and reload a secondary shot during the same turn. The price to make this weapon masterwork quality is double the standard masterwork price. The ammunition for this weapon are shells, which can vary in types.
