Rel Mord is the capital city of the Kingdom of Nyrond and the King of Nyrond has his throne here. Heavily guarded and fortified, the city is one of the most populous in Flanaess at around 46,000 citizens.
Rel Mord has a lively trade, in particular with gemstones, but is also well-known for its artisan works.
The Royal University of Rel Mord is renowned and it was here that sage Pluffet Smedger The Elder found old and detailed chronicles about Greyhawk history. He studied them and mediated the knowledge to his students through a game akin to Dungeons & Dragons that he invented.
