Kelek, Evil Sorcerer, is a character in the LJN toyline and related media, who also appears in the fourth episode of the D&D cartoon series.
About[]
Kelek is a character created for the 1983 LJN toyline and is the second or third most icon character from the AD&D merchandise after Warduke and maybe Strongheart. Kelek got a regular action figure and a miniature, from LJN, but didn’t get a Battle-Matic action figure until NECA released the Lost Wave in 2022.
LJN Bio[]
Kelek the Evil Sorcerer is capable of using powerful magical spells to further his cruel ways. While Sorcerers cannot use weapons other than daggers, darts, or staffs, they have a large number of terrible spells that they employ to win the day for them. Evil Sorcerers are constantly fighting the forces of Law and Order for dominance in the lands where they live.
The Shady Dragon Inn Bio[]
KELEK stands 5'11", weighs 156 lbs. His head is clean-shaven, his beard white and full, his eyes dark, and his robes black. KELEK wants to be High Wizard of his magical school: once, he and RINGLERUN were friends, but the Heartstone made KELEK power-hungry and evil. Now he uses his magical powers to gain power and wealth, and hates RINGLERUN, who stands in his way. KELEK gloats that RINGLERUN's old helper, SKYLLA, has become his partner. Although he uses SKYLLA's powers, he does not plan to share power with her, and once he is High Wizard, he will destroy her as he intends to destroy RINGLERUN.
History[]
Valley of the Unicorns[]
Kelek appears in the 4th episode of the cartoon series. Kelek captures Uni as well as several other unicorns and wants to steal their horns, and therefore their power. In the episode Kelek is seen to be subservient to Venger.
The Treasure of Time[]
In the Storybook from Marvel Books, Kelek changes himself into a blue bird to gain entry into Charmay's chamber, and he then casts a charm on her in order to get her to hand over a scroll he needs to find the Treasure of Time. He ultimately obtains the artifact, but it reverses his age to a time before he learned magic, nullifying him as a threat to Charmay, Strongheart and Elkhorn.
