Before you stands a tiny, hunched over demonic figure, with curved grasping claws and vestigal horns on its head, covered in shaggy fur. Its most notable feature, however, is the bag of letters hanging over its side, with the strap across its body, the only thing it is wearing at all.

Mail Daemons, or Emaloths, are a low rank of highly specialized yugoloth, serving both sides in the blood war as couriers and heralds. They have an undeserved reputation as cowards due to their unwillingness to fight; they will brave any danger to make sure that the mail goes through. They can be seen across the multiverse, as messengers of powerful demons, devils, yugoloths, and even mortal wizards.

Combat Edit

Mail Daemons avoid fighting whenever they can, using their teleportation abilities to avoid combat.

Spell-like abilities: At will: Greater Teleport (self plus 50 pounds of objects only). 2/day: Plane Shift (to and from its home plane only). Also, once per day, an Emaloth may teleport itself into any coexistent plane as a standard action, teleporting between the corresponding points. An Emaloth with at least 4 hit dice may use Shrink Item once per day. All of these are as the spell, cast by a 14th-level sorcerer.

Summon (sp): Once per day, an Emaloth may attempt to summon another Emaloth with a 20% chance of success, as the Summon ability that all the major fiend types get.

Daemon Traits: Acid and Poison immunity, Fire, Cold, Electricity resistance 20, Telepathy (included in above stats).

Telepathy (su): An Emaloth may communicate telepathically with any creature within 100 feet that has a language.

Summoning Mail DaemonsEdit

A Mail Daemon may be summoned by a Summon Monster III spell.
