About[]
Sergeant Alphonse Knox is a neutral good human fighter, soldier, living in Neverwinter in the late years of the 15th century DR.
Idle Champions Bio[]
The imposing presence of Sergeant Knox came to Neverwinter when the Mintarn mercenaries were hired to retake the city following the eruption of Mount Hotenow. Soon he became a daily presence and mentor for new Adventurers in the city. Celeste reached out to her old friend following the catastrophic events at Elturel, hoping the veteran mercenary would join the Champions as they face the greatest foe the Sword Coast has ever seen!
Personality[]
Knox was considered "one of the good" among the men who served under Dagult Neverember. He was compassionate and always tried to do what was good, and was motivated by a genuine love of his city.
Activities[]
Knox was a sergeant in the Neverwinter Guard, and one of Neverember's personal guards. He was also responsible for dealing with adventurers in the city, usually hiring them in defense of Neverwinter against its various enemies.
History[]
In 1479 DR, Knox was in charge of the defense efforts when Valindra Shadowmantle put Neverwinter under siege. Together with the cleric Celeste, the warlock Makos, and the rogue Xuna, Knox led Neverwinter's defenders to victory against the undead army.
Behind the Scenes[]
Makos and Knox are the first named characters to appear in the Neverwinter four-part cinematic trailer "The Siege of Neverwinter" and one of the first characters the player meets at the entrance of the city. Knox is the first quest-giver the player meets in the game and an important NPC for all of the First Act.
